Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Abusive Relationships publication.
Please find below links to an RCMP publication as well as Statistics Canada
and Nation Victims of Crime Awareness Week. We appreciate that statistics
never tell the whole story and tend to use them sparingly. You may or may
not be aware that over the years our publications relating to relationship
violence have changed to reflect the most update information on this area
and are more gender neutral than in prior years. In fact, much of the
language in our most recent version of Abusive Relationships (1.2 2008) is
gender neutral and all references to the law make it clear that the laws in
place apply equally to men and women. I trust this is the information
