This one caught my eye this morning:
Children: Father didn't abuse us: Ex-Vancouver police officer spent nearly 20 years in prison
Yes people, this is what happens when you have a law system, a family court system and an allegation of abuse. People get punished for it.
This is no joke.
That poor man, and those poor (now adult) children. The manipulative cop and the mother who put them through this should share adjoining cells for the same amount of time that this innocent man had to spend in jail.
But we all know they won't. Our's is a society where we'll all go on the witch hunt when the abuse allegations are thrown around, even managing to put innocent people in jail. But what won't happen is reciprocal justice. I mean, you may see a tort case where the man will be awarded a chunk of change for his pain, but what you won't see is people getting prosecuted for false accusations.
However, you so much as post comments on a blog, or publish a website that calls someone a liar, or a child abductor, and prepare yourself for a libel case.
What the hell is wrong with these people?
